Imran served warrants at Zaman Park
LAHORE: The Islamabad police on Saturday served warrants on PTI Director Imran Khan for his appearance under the watchful eye of a court in the government capital.
Mr. Khan's Zaman Park residence in Lahore received the warrants to appear on June 8 in the case of threatening a female sessions judge.
Mr Khan's insight Naeem Haider Panjutha said the court had given bailable warrants for his client.
He claimed that the court had instructed the police to execute warrants at Mr. Khan's residence in Zaman Park.
In a tweet on Saturday, Mr. Panjutha stated, "The police had arrived at Zaman Park earlier in the day to serve warrants for Mr Khan's appearance before the court on June 8."
After the PTI chairman lashed out at Additional District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry for approving PTI leader Shahbaz Gill's physical remand in a sedition case, the case was filed in August of that year.
Mr. Khan was also charged with contempt by the Islamabad High Court, and he later apologized to the judge.
